Joan Sereno Selected New Division Director for Behavioral and Cognitive Sciences at NSF

Joan Sereno, professor in Linguistics has been chosen as the Division Director of the Behavioral and Cognitive Sciences (BCS) Division at the National Science Foundation (NSF).  The Division supports basic research in the psychological, linguistics, anthropological, and geographical sciences.  BCS research develops and advances scientific knowledge about the brain, human cognition, language, social behavior, and culture, including research on the interactions between human societies and their environments. Her appointment starts on August 29, 2022.
