Professor John Gluckman receives 2026 Ned N. Fleming Trust Award

Dr. Gluckman has been selected as the recipient of the 2026 Ned N. Fleming Trust Award, one of the University of Kansas' most competitive teaching awards. He will be formally recognized at a reception with the Chancellor this fall.

The Department of Linguistics nominated Dr. Gluckman in recognition of his exceptional efforts to integrate research and teaching both inside and outside the classroom, his commitment to fostering undergraduate and graduate research through KUBantu, and his development of the innovative and accessible open educational resource (OER) textbook The Science of Syntax.
